You'll be jealous you haven't thought of her hack for creamier mac & cheese first.
There are people who eat simply because they're hungry, never really giving much thought to what they're eating. Blake Lively is not one of those people. The Shallows star loves to cook—so much so she's taken classes at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and has invited chefs to her home to help her hone her skills. One glance at her Instagram shows that she loves a mug of ultra-rich hot cocoa just as much as a head-turning pair of Louboutins or a braid that'd make Rapunzel jealous.

Even the actress's favorite clothes reflect this—remember when she told Vogue the best part of her day was her heels, which looked like they were studded with Everlasting Gobstoppers? Or that crystal-covered, cupcake-shaped handbag Blake Lively 'grammed?
Naturally, this made us wonder what she eats in a typical day, and whether what's on her Instagram in any way reflects what she has IRL. Her latest feature in
Marie Claire's July issue had some insights—and made us want to try her mac & cheese hack ASAP.
SHE MAKES HER OWN MCMUFFINS.
Lively can skip the drive-thru; McD's doesn't serve sriracha mayo, anyway, which turns out to be the secret ingredient in her homemade breakfast sandwiches. That and extra-sharp cheddar, it seems.
If she's going out to brunch, she'll order an eggs benedict, she told Vogue.
SHE HAS NO PROBLEM WITH CARBS.
There are certain foods that are celebrity diet mainstays: Salads for lunch, lean meat and veggies for dinner, a handful of almonds as a mid-day snack. At the Marie Claire shoot, Lively opted for a club sandwich and pot stickers, following it up later in the day with Nobu sushi and sweets from Thomas Keller's Bouchon Bakery.

While the new dad did not reveal his daughter's real name, he did confirm that "it is a family name" although it is not Elaine, after Blake's mother.

Update, 10/10: Lively shared more photos from her baby shower on Preserve today. Alongside pictures of the mom-to-be and her friends celebrating with cake and gifts, Lively penned a short note about her pregnancy:
With a new baby on the way there is so much to do! But before experiencing the joy of 3am screams, seemingly impossible amounts of poop and having a favorite shirt covered in reflux… there are presents to open, onesies to dye, there is cake to serve, advice to be shared and all around celebration to be had. And that we did…
Original post, 10/6: Major congratulations are in order for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, who revealed they're expecting their first child on Lively's website,
Preserve, this morning.
Lively announced the news in the
introductory letter to the site's fall issue: "Preserve at its core is about family...With family on our mind, we looked to the origin of it all—to the women in our lives who are right there, at that special moment; at the creation of family." Pictures of a baby shower accompany the essay, with a photo of Lively (taken by her brother, Eric) showing off her baby bump featured at the end.
